Mr. Meyer maintains a mixed practice in both litigation and transactional matters. His primary areas of concentration are general civil and commercial litigation, residential and commercial real estate transactions, election law, estate planning, and business organization. Mr. Meyer’s litigation practice frequently includes matters concerning construction defects, mechanic’s lien foreclosure, business and partnership disputes, land use disputes, personal injury, debtor/creditor, collections, and evictions. His transactional practice also includes the purchase and sale of businesses, confidentiality/non-compete agreements, and contracts.
Mr. Meyer is a fourth generation and lifelong resident of Elgin, Illinois, where he resides with his wife, Courtney, and their two sons. Mr. Meyer serves his community as a coach and the program coordinator of Elgin Titans, a youth baseball organization affiliated with Elgin Classic Little League; as a volunteer attorney for CASA-DeKalb County; and as a board member and treasurer for Hamilton Wings, a charitable organization dedicated to youth leadership development through use of the arts. Mr. Meyer has previously served his community as an elected member and Chairman of the Elgin Community College Board of Trustees, and as Vice Chairman of the Kane County Republican Central Committee.
